What is EchoTrail?

EchoTrail is an AI hiking app that generates unique audio stories based on your GPS location. Walk past a Viking ruin, a mountain summit or a forest lake — and the story comes to you. Available on the App Store and Google Play.
Does EchoTrail work offline in the mountains?

EchoTrail needs the internet to generate new AI stories. GPS tracking and stories that are already generated or pre-loaded can work without coverage, depending on what's been cached on the device. Use the offline fallback for trails with weak signal.
Is EchoTrail free to download?

Yes. Every new account gets a 3-day free trial with full Turvenn+ (Trail Friend+) access — unlimited stories, audiobook mode and all voices, no card required. What languages does EchoTrail support?

EchoTrail generates stories in Norwegian, English, Swedish and Danish. Pick the language that fits your hike; voice catalogs and available content can differ between languages. Norwegian remains the most polished experience today.
Is EchoTrail a safety or navigation app?

No. EchoTrail is an experience app — it adds stories and atmosphere to your walk. It is not a safety, navigation or emergency tool. Always bring a proper map, check the weather and trail conditions, and tell someone where you're going. Don't rely on EchoTrail for route-finding or in an emergency.
